Description of House at Punta Chilen :
Located on the tip of a peninsula on the island of Chiloe, the site offers an open view of the horizon 360º around it and distant views over the Andes mountains where at least 8 volcanos can be seen (some of them still active). A rhythmic repetition of columns on the first floor carry the structure to the perimeter and generates changing shadows on the interiors. The oblique shape of the corten steel roof on the second floor defines an irregular perimeter opposed to the flat line of the horizon, creating a contained living space to inhabit during the rainy days of Chiloe. Description from GAD :
BUAMA is an interior renovation project for a young couple living in Beykoz, a suburb of Istanbul. As a concept, a new structure is inserted in the existing structure. The new structure maintains the existing heights, yet proposes a more organic solution. The smooth and endless lines reference infinite space, as there is no clear distinction between the floors & walls, or between the walls & ceiling. Light scatters on the organic surface in a way that seems almost limitlessness.

Prospector Rsidence is located in Sun Valley and set on a sloping site with expansive mountain views. Designed by Marmol Radziner.
Description from the Architects :
Set within the hillside, the stepped three-story home maximizes the available land and connects the home to the landscape. Derived from the surrounding landscape, the color palette and material selection includes stone veneer, red cedar siding, and bluestone flooring.

The living room and dining room are divided by a large stone fireplace. A second, more casual living space, also anchored by a stone fireplace, adjoins the kitchen. Throughout the home, roof decks and patios extend the living space into the landscape.
