Korea World Trade Center Expansion, designed by SOM, located in Seoul, South Korea. SOM Schedule to expand the Korea World Trade Center in Seoul was a lesson in power, both mixed-use developments and the advantage to hire a designer for projects of general programming, design and construction, and coordination of disparate elements, such as offices, shops, entertainment, hotels, and use public space.
The application of SOM’s multidisciplinary strengths KWTC allowed to become one of the few large convention centers that can operate independent of government subsidies.
