Description of Silky Matte White Hanging Air Plant Pods :
Each pod is made from a gorgeous natural buff colored stoneware clay that I cover in an exquisite silky matte white glaze. Your pod comes with a generous amount of natural hemp cord all ready to hang. Because they are high fired, you can hang them outdoors as well but make sure to bring your air plants inside during cooler temperatures. To secure the air plants I tuck a couple leaves inside if the bulb isn’t big enough to hang within the pod itself. Each arrives gift packaged and make the perfect house warming present. They look amazing individually or hung in groups! The colors of my pods are designed to be able to be mixed and matched. You can also display these right side up on a shelf or table just by taking the cord and hanger out. [ Michael McDowell ]

Sunset Hill Residence by Robin Chell Design
Description from Robin Chell Design :
Built on a hillside overlooking Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains, this new 2500-square foot home features expansive windows and a combination of warm, durable materials, including concrete flooring and natural cedar siding. The interior scheme focused on a modern, neutral palette while expressing the architecture and maximizing light throughout the home. A separate office for the client was created in the lower floor, introducing a true live-work use into this neighborhood. A central “lantern” comprised of an open stairway and three-story light well was designed as the visual and functional focal point for the home.
Robin Chell Design also coordinated and specified exterior materials, color palette and building massing with the architects.

In an open mode the user becomes part of the experience, and an intimate reading corner is created for him.

Villa Nielsen is located in Forest Edge, designed by Willa Nordic. Exterior with dark brown color so looks polite and cool. From the outside looks ordinary, but when we enter into the interior space, ordinary exterior impression was immediately replaced by modern interior. Floor covered by wood, large clear glass is applied in some part of wall. Combination between white wall and brown color of floor, make the interior feel more cool and comfortable. [ VIA ]

Description from Architects:
Conceived as a simple weekender, this pavilion house grew into something a lot more substantial. Landscaping, a pool, pool house and sauna were added to the original brief, with spectacular results. The house has a steel frame that was welded on-site prior to being shot-blasted and finished with a two-part epoxy paint system. This is one of the longest lasting corrosion protection systems available today.

New and recycled Australian hardwoods were used to frame the steel structure. Soft-toned grey steel used for the dramatically angled roof blends with the muted tones of the surrounding bush. Glass was used extensively throughout the home, with dramatic effect. The structure seems to almost hover over the site and indoor and outdoor spaces merge seamlessly.

This is a residence embedded in an urban lot in the neighborhood of Morumbi, Sao Paulo. Through its implantation on the site, it seeks to leave its ground floor entirely free, giving continuity to the public space. To enhance this potential, the glass prism that serves as a “natural light injector” inside the house, is installed so that it can be lifted up (like a crane), completely freeing the entrance level.
