” AECOM was charged with designing a new home for CFI in a 14,000-square-foot workplace in Mayo’s flagship Gonda Building, a space designed to foster creativity, maximize flexibility and optimize collaboration. The image reflects CFI’s innovative and creative approach, while multi-use public conference rooms provide unique opportunities for collaborative work.
To accommodate both individual and group work, the open plan area provides both universal workstations and multiple areas for a variety of team configurations. Large high tables and stools provide layout space for group projects, while smaller teaming areas feature comfortable lounge seating combined with tackable and writable surfaces for idea-sharing. An adjacent 1,500-square-foot open space provides a completely flexible area for prototype construction and testing. A glass-walled project room can be configured into separate rooms or one large space using track-mounted movable glass panels which also function as writable surfaces.
The resulting environment meets the client’s need for a space designed to enhance and sustain a highly creative work style as well as providing a newly energized image for the group. This multi-use, flexible space allows them to bring new products and processes to their organization and their clients…faster, more effectively…and with greater creative quality. ”
